Tonight, I went through the Temple for the first time, due to Covid the number of guests allowed was only seven, it was so hard to choose whom to invite. Luckily Brother and Sister Finnigan were the officiants so I was able to have them there as well without having to cut anyone else from the list:      Here are the people I shared this special moment with:  Mom and dad (of course)   Michael and Karen Finnigan (my Patriarch and wife)   Pres. Greg Willmott (my basketball teammate)   Duane Sprickerhoff (Anita and Brayden were out of town)   Debbie McMullen (my seminary teacher)   Edmund and Demarise Fischer (my bishop and wife)  

Well, on April 16,2021 I opened my mission call and learned that I would be serving at the Canada Vancouver Mission. For so many families out there, that would be just another mission call opening event if it wasn't for the crazy fact that my best friend Brayden Sprickerhoff will be serving at the same mission!!! Not only that, we are starting and finishing our missions at the same day!!! The odds for this to happen are very small, I call this a miracle and I am so grateful for it.      We have been best friends since we moved to Brampton in 2009. Our families spent almost every Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas together since then, not counting other activities we shared.   We really grew up together.       I can't put into words how much this means to me (and my family), even though I don't think we will be "companions" during our mission just knowing that we are "together" somehow makes me so happy and at peace.
