Week 14

Hey all! These week has been an interesting one. It's been a ton of social media work along with missionary work, making it really busy which is actually pretty nice. There are some days where I'm super tired but it's still worth it. We were able to have lessons and meet with quite a few members this week, along with doing some street contacting at a place called Derby Reach. Although not much came it, it was still good to get out and try to talk to people, especially since it's not my forte. Like I mentioned earlier, we also did a ton of social media work for the Followers of Jesus Christ in BC page on Facebook. Posting, stories and reaching out to people who interact with the page is more time consuming than I thought it would be. It has been cool to see the progress and blessings that came from working on the page though, and I'm excited to see what the rest of the transfer will bring. Overall it's been a pretty good week, and I'm hyped to continue the wo...

Week 13

Hey all, This week was super busy! I am now in Willoughby to open a brand new area, or what we call “whitewashing”. I also have a new companion, Elder Whitney whose been out a Transfer less than me. He's from Alberta but lived in Texas for a while, and he's really fun and really committed to the work which is great! In this new area, I also have a new role for our zone, I'm now the “Social Media Leader” and a “content creator” for the Abbotsford zone as well. It's definitely a big responsibility but I'll try my best to fulfill it. I'm not sure how I got this role to be honest haha. Our area is pretty interesting with way more people than in Mission City and I am so excited to be here and see what the work will be like. The highlight of this week was that on Sunday our good friend Matt was baptized, it was such a special experience, this was my first baptism in the mission and I will never forget it, Matt is a great person and I am so grateful to have met him and...

Week 12

Hey all! This week was pretty crazy. It was the final week of my second transfer in the field, and we were able to finish off strong. The biggest thing that happened is that we were able to finish all the lessons with Matt and get his baptismal interview done, which means he's ready to be baptized on Sunday! He's really excited about it, and I'm going to have the opportunity to baptize him, which is so cool. We were able to do tons of service, and it's been really enjoyable to do so, honestly. It's definitely tiring, but also worth it as we're able to help people in need and meet more people. Also had our transfer calls on Monday, where I learned that I'm being transferred to the Willoughby ward and work with Elder Whitney! I will miss Mission City and all the wonderful people I met here but it’s really exciting that I'm able to start this new chapter of my mission. Hope you're all doing well, and know that God cares. Have a great week, Elder Jacobow...

Hey all, It's been a great week, had an awesome district pday where we hiked for 4 hours, had some awesome views. We also had an awesome lesson with Matt on Wednesday, and he's progressing so well it's been great to see. There was tons of service this week, and since it wasn't too rainy it got pretty toasty. Honestly there's not much else that happened this week, it's kind of the same old same old. I have been able to see the Lord's hand in the work, and I'm glad to be where I am. Hope you all are doing well, I'm praying for you. Elder Jacobowski 1. I love sushi, the company is pretty good too 3. We ran a 5k today in honour of Elders Keck and Thompson 5.
