Week 1 & 2

Week 1

"BC is so nice! It's got beautiful scenery and the people I've met so far have all been pretty friendly, with the couple exceptions of course. However, I apparently flew out at just the right time because we got hit with a massive heat wave basically my second day out lol. But we endure it, but this is all a part of the Missionary life, and I know that I'll be better and the people around me will he better if we endure it.

I'd like to share Alma 26:12 from the Book of Mormon, which is a really great verse for now during this crazy time, and anytime you might feel overwhelmed with things. "Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

I can testify that if you rely on the strength of God and have faith in Him, you can do things you thought impossible.

Week 2

This week has been pretty awesome. To start we were able to share a couple bibles with people in the area, and also invite them to study together with us which is pretty cool. Finding new people who are wiling to learn has been pretty difficult so far so those Bible drop-offs have really helped. We also met with a couple where the husband wants to be baptized so that he can be sealed to his wife. Really awesome to see how open he is to learning, and I'm really excited to see him grow his faith more.

There was also a lot of bonding time with the other missionaries this week. Got to be part of some basketball runs and district council, which were both amazing. Was also able to visit the Vancouver temple which is so nice, it's under some renovations at the moment but you can just see how special it is. Also got to learn so much more about the gospel and how it can bless other people, and I'm super hyped to share that with others.
