Week 7
Hey all!
This week has been pretty crazy since it was the start of the second transfer (for me at least). For those who don't know what that is, transfers basically mean that companions get switched around and moved to different parts of the mission field, and you don't really know where you're going until like 2 days before. As mentioned in my previous email, Elder Mora is now up in Burns Lake. Because of that, I now have a new companion, Elder Coon. He's a fun guy and it's been really enjoyable trying to show him everything he needs to know about Mission City.
He's been out 7 and a half months so he knows the drill, but since I've been in the area longer I'm the one who has to set up meetings and events with people. It was pretty stressful at first since I wasn't confident in my abilities to do that planning, but the Lord has definitely helped me reach out to those willing to have us over and help them out.
Quite a few other missionaries went to different parts of the mission which was a little sad since I was getting closer with them, but it's really cool to try and make new friends with the ones that came in. I've also noticed how helpful the missionaries who stayed are in getting me used to all the new responsibilities I have, which has been really great to see and I'm super thankful.
Overall this week was crazy but really changed my perspective on missionary work and the relationships that I've made with others as I've been out. It's also helped open my eyes to see just how the Lord helps anyone who is trying their best to do the right thing, as well as how he listens to prayers when we turn to him since I definitely needed help figuring everything out. I'm so grateful that I know he will listen, and can promise he'll do the same for all of you.
Love you all, hope you have a great week.
