Weeks 50 & 51

Alrighty, guess we're still not caught up with "weekly" emails haha!

Anyways, these past couple weeks were pretty eventful, so let's jump straight into it.

In week 50 we had an amazing chance to go down to Vancouver and meet with Elder Gerritt W. Gong, one of the 12 apostles of the church! We went down on Friday and slept over at the Cambie apartments, it was pretty cool to be back in Vancouver. On Saturday we got to go back to Langley, one of my old areas and got to meet with Elder Gong and some other church leaders. They taught us a ton on how to be better missionaries, and it was an amazing experience! We also did some street contact in the area. It was so nice all the missionaries together in one place at the same time.

It was also my first time on a plane in almost a year, haha.

Another big thing that happened was that I hit a year in the Mission field! June 2nd was my “Hump Day”. It was a pretty amazing milestone, and it's just a reminder on how far I've come, along with all the chances I still have to share the gospel wherever I may be! I'm grateful I can be out here.

In week 51 we had Zone Conference, which was a little surreal since it's probably the last time I'll see President Wahlen before he goes home. It was a really spiritual meeting, and we also had interviews later in the evening. Those also went well, and I was even able to tie trade with him, which was pretty cool!

A very crazy thing happened on Saturday June 11th, our truck actually got wrecked!! Basically there were some mechanical issues that led to the ball bearing to break which made us to hit the curb sideways and front and back right tires to blew up. My companion and I are both okay. It was truly a miracle that things all ended okay. There were plenty of chances for things to go way worse, as we didn't hit anyone, we weren't hurt, and everyone was super supportive, so the Lord was definitely protecting us.

These were crazy couple of weeks, and I'm grateful for the protection and for all the adventures I've been having out here. Hope everyone is doing well!
