Week 55

So this past week was crazy!!!

Somehow I forgot to mention on my last post that we have a new mission president! His name is President Gill from Provo, Utah, and he's pretty great! He was a surgeon before becoming a mission president, and he and his wife are spiritual powerhouses! They started their mission at the end of June and fortunately we had a zone conference in Prince George on July 4th and were able to meet them right away, it was a very good experience. Don’t get me wrong, I love and will miss President Blake Wahlen and Sister Whalen, they were awesome and will always be an important part of my life. I know that both set of Presidents will enrich my life tremendously. Looking forward to learn even more with the “new boss”, haha.

So, new President and transfers happened at the same time. Lets say that this transfer was pretty wild. I actually got moved out of Prince George and sent to Salmon Arm, which is near the Okanagan and Rocky mountains! I definitely thought I would be serving in Prince George a lot longer, since I just arrived there but I guess the Lord needs me elsewhere. I will miss Prince George. I'm excited for the new place though, only a week but it's been already pretty amazing here. Salmon Arm is gorgeous! Almost like a painting if you ask my mom.

My travel plans always have something interesting happening, haha. In order for me to get to my final destination (Salmon Arm) I had to take 2 flights one from PG to Vancouver and one from Vancouver to Kelowna and of course they both got delayed forcing me to sleep over in Kelowna with some other elders. No complains, it was cool. When I finally got to my area and met with my new companion Elder Forsyth I was surprised with the scenery, it had me really excited. There are so many amazing sights and views here, plus the fact that we're like 15 minutes from the Shuswap Lake, it's been a blast. I am so ready to work here and I'm excited to see what's to come from this transfer.

That's pretty much it for this week, but I think that there will be some pretty cool things happening here in the area, I'm excited for what the Lord has in store. Hope you're all doing well!
