Weeks 59 & 60

Hey all! It's been an awesome couple of weeks, here's what happened!

On Monday we all went to a pretty cool hike out in Glacier National Park (pictures were shared on my last post) which is quite close to the BC-Alberta border. It was a really cool hike, and we got to see some amazing views. It was quite the drive though, almost 2 and a half hours from our apartment.

Later in the week we had some exchanges with the zone leaders, and had some amazing miracles happen! We met this lady named Lindsay at a park bench, and she was actually the neighbour of a member of our ward!! She had been invited to church but wasn't sure if she wanted to go, but meeting us was the motivation she needed and she ended up coming that Sunday! It was awesome.

The following week was also pretty cool, we got to do some service for some members and also got to join the ward's activity at the go-kart track. Unfortunately we couldn't drive the karts (we are not allowed but we still asked, haha) but we were able to play a short round of mini putt. It was pretty fun, and a good way to grow closer to some of the members in the ward.

This week I said goodbye to two good friends, Elder Bridger Yeager and Elder Clifford, they both finished their missions and are heading back home.

Later on Friday, we were helping a member with some moving, and while we were leaving we ended up running into Lindsay again just walking around downtown! We had been trying to contact her for that week but couldn't reach her, so seeing her that day was an awesome miracle. We were able to set up a meeting on the following day, and it was an awesome lesson. She's so prepared to learn more, we're excited for her growth.

On Monday we had our Transfer calls, and there were quite a few changes. I'm a district leader again and staying in Salmon Arm, there's a new zone in the lower mainland, Elder Forsyth is going to the island and I'm getting a new companion, Elder Spencer. It was a pretty crazy call, and I'm excited for what's to come this transfer.

Hope you're all doing well!

Elder Jacobowski
