Weeks 61,62 & 63 (Whoops)

Hey all!

So as you can tell, I'm terrible at keeping up to date with my emails, but here we are!

The past few weeks have been pretty awesome, with lots of ups but also with some downs. Elder Spencer and I have been working hard and having a good time here in Salmon Arm.

We started off the transfer having Zone Conference which was really good, and being a District Leader again led me to think a lot more about how I can apply the things talked about in our meetings.

We also had tons of meetings with members and helped out a lot of them, it's been pretty awesome to do some service for them. We helped move wood, build a fence, and a bunch of other smaller projects that really helped develop our relationship with the members.

One event that really helped build some good relationships is a ward picnic that we had at Herald's park. Quite a few people came, and it was so fun and nice to have so much food available for everyone haha. There was also a pie contest, along with a lottery at the end for a free pie. We won the lottery!! We were super excited and made all the members chuckle which was pretty nice.

On a bit of a harder note, recently my grandfather passed away. "Vo Otavio" was my mom's dad, and he was a huge example to me of working hard and loving God and his family. My passion for construction and working with my hands comes directly from my grandpa, it was his profession and I will proudly follow his steps. Even though I got permission to watch the funeral service online I'm sad I wasn't able to see him in person before he left, but I know that I'll see him again, so I want to work harder to make him proud. I'm grateful for him, and for the strength and support he still gives me as I go on my mission.

Honestly I don't remember everything that's happened in the near month since I last wrote, but I do know that God continues to be a God of miracles and watches out for everyone, even if we don't see it. I'm happy I get to keep serving here in Salmon Arm, and am excited to see where the rest of the transfer will go! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.
