Weeks 67 & 68

Alrighty, I'm still slacking with emails but here we are. Better late than never!

Week 67 wasn't super eventful, though we did have the chance to help out Brother Cox with some wood chopping. It was pretty fun, but reminded me that I'm not very good at it, haha. It was good to grow our relationship with them as well.

We also had the awesome opportunity to watch General Conference on the Saturday and Sunday. It was a really good conference, and we even had the chance to watch it with the Edis family. They treat us really well, and we appreciated them inviting us into their home.

In week 68, we had our first district council of the transfer which was a lot of fun. We also had the chance to help some members at their homes and visit with some other ones. It was the first time I'd seen chickens that calm, haha, though they didn't want to stay still enough for a picture.

Monday was Thanksgiving Day here in Canada, and at first I thought it was going to be a bit sad as everyone was going out of town.  Our bishop invited us to eat with them on Sunday night and that was a really great meeting. We then had to bolt down to Kelowna to spend the night for Zone Conference the next day, which was also really good, even if it was a little long, haha. Our Thanksgiving/Zone Conference lunch was Taco Salad, different but yummy.

During Zone Conference I met my trainer Elder Mora, who is actually the AP of our mission now, it was good to see him again after many months. I'm pretty proud of him, haha, he's a really solid missionary and makes me want to get better.

After Zone Conference we came back to Salmon Arm and spent our Pday with the Kamloops elders. It was pretty fun, got to do some more gaming together along with some basketball.

And for Thanksgiving Dinner the Papworth's invited us for some lasagna, soooo good. It was funny to arrive at their house with another 4 missionaries, haha. We had a wonderful night with them and I am so grateful for all the food we got, haha.

Over all it has been a great couple of weeks, and I'm excited to see what happens next!

Hope you're all doing good,

Elder Jacobowski
