Weeks 88, 89 & 90

So week 88 didn't really have much happen. Both Elder Smart and I got sick for pretty much the whole week, so we stayed home for quite a large part of that week. Luckily it wasn't Covid for either of us, but it still didn't make it any more fun haha. I'm feeling better now, so that's good.

Week 89 is when the ward was officially started up as the Sumas Mountain Ward. It's nice to be back covering Mission, it's kind of weird seeing my first area now approaching the end of my mission. We now have volleyball nights in Mission every Friday which is a really great opportunity for missionaries, there's quite a few people that come who have shown interest in what we do and share.

We've also been working with Jacob and Jim a lot, they're awesome kids and really want to learn more about Jesus and the gospel he brings to us. They're preparing for baptism, and are both super excited!

Week 90 was more visiting out in Mission, as well as getting the chance to go on exchanges. I went with Elder Solomon and we got to do some service for a member family which was really nice. They're a great family, I got to serve them in the summer of 2021 so now getting to help them in the early spring has been quite the experience. A bit colder and muddier but just as rewarding.

We also got our transfer news this week. Elder Smart is heading back up to Terrace, while I'm staying here in Abbotsford now with Elder Whiting. I'm sad Elder Smart and I are parting ways but I'm excited for the new transfer and the things I can learn from Elder Whiting, as well as how we can serve the ward better.

I'm grateful for the time I've had to be out here. It's the best decision I've ever made, and I know it's the work of God. Hope yall are doing well and succeed in whatever you're working towards!
