Weeks 93, 94 & 95

Howdy! It's been a good few weeks.

We had General Conference right at the beginning of April. It was awesome! So many great talks and messages from living Apostles and Prophets, as well as some amazing music in between. I've come to really appreciate General Conference while I've been on my mission, it's been a great help to me and grown my testimony more than I could have thought.

We've also been having the chance to meet and work with a member in the ward who I would visit at the beginning of my mission. His name is Ron, and he's great! He loves dogs more than anyone I know, but he's also a great lover of the gospel and the blessings it has brought into his life.

Easter also happened during these couple of weeks. What a great time to remember the Savior of the world, the love He has for us, the support He can give us. He suffered for us, I know that without a shadow of a doubt, and even when we may feel alone we never are. We got to learn more about the week leading up to Easter at our Zone Conference. It was a great learning experience and helped me better appreciate the Easter season.

And of course, the box with chocolates that my mom sent closed the deal, haha.

We also continue to work with our friend Bryce. He's an awesome man with a really cool outlook on life. He is definitely spiritually ready to learn, though he's not entirely sure what he wants to do with his spiritual life just yet. He also has some puppies that are the cutest (don't tell that to my dogs back home).

My companion and I keep doing some cool service projects, it was interesting to clean a "chicken coop", (I never though I would say that, haha) and help with the burning of a pile of dead trees, leaves and stuff at the Price's house. We helped to build a trampoline, too bad we couldn't play on it, hahaha. Helped the ward youth to carve some hiking sticks, I really enjoy when I have a chance to use my cool knife, which I bought in Prince George at the beginning of my mission. We also helped clean up when some old pipes from the chapel cracked causing a bunch of leaks and ended up flooding different areas of the building.

Another cool thing that happened was that for the first time in almost 2 years I was able to talk to both my grandmas at the same time... right now grandma Arlete Silva is visiting us in Canada and my dad is visiting his mom (grandma Lucia Jacobowski) in Brazil, so when I video called my parents during my Pday both grandmas were able to see and talk to me.

To wrap up these last few weeks we had interviews with our President. It's interesting having to start to prepare for my return home, time is going so fast. Getting some insights from President Gill has been really helpful. He's a great leader and a great guide for all us missionaries here in the CVM, and I'm glad I had the chance to see him start his own mission with us and the growth he has gone through.

Overall, I'm loving it out here, excited for what's to come and always ready to talk about Christ! Hope y'all are doing well too.
