Week 99

Alright, time to get on top of this for writing emails!

This week we went to a nice Mexican place called El Compañeros (how fitting, haha) for my birthday lunch with the elders, it was pretty good. Not as good as El Sombrero back home but still pretty good.

We also got to play some volleyball which is always fun and had the chance to go to the Desjardin's home to help out a bit with some wood chopping. It's been a while since I got to do some real chopping, at least since Salmon Arm so I was pretty happy about that. The Desjardin's are awesome, I'm glad I get to serve at their home often.

On Saturday we had the chance to head down to Richmond for interviews. It was a different style of interview this time around, President Gill and I got to walk around a local park near the chapel. It was pretty funny, most of our discussion was about the logistics of where I will be spending my final night before I head home, haha. Overall it was a pretty good experience. Traffic wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and that is always a bonus, haha.

Finally on Sunday it was Mother's day! I had the chance to call my mom, it was pretty cool and kind of a surreal feeling, knowing that it's been almost 2 years that I've had the chance to serve here.

Also if you'd like to see a funny homecoming countdown, my mom is posting every day until I get home, haha.

Hope y'all are doing well!
